OBITUARY - LEE LAMONT KEY Submitted by: Jan Redelsperger, jansperger at gmail dot com Source: "The Daily News," Longview, Cowlitz Co., Washington, 10 May 1935, pg. 1:3 FIREMAN WAGE FUTILE BATTLE TO SAVE YOUTH Efforts of physicians and the Kelso fire department to save the life of Lee LaMont Key, 5, of Kalama, failed yesterday and the boy succumbed to an illness several hours later. Lee, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank K. Key, who reside near the Kalama fish hatchery, did not respond to emergency oxygen treatment, succumbing at 7:30 p.m. last night. The Kelso fire department made a fast run to the Key residence with a tank of oxygen. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Ditlvesen Funeral home and services will be held at the Methodist church at Kalama at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Gebert will officiate and interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Young Key was born in Longview and was an only child of the parents.
