Terrel, a local resident the past 30 years, died Dec, 12, 1982 in a local hospital. He was 65. Terrel was born August 7, 1917, at Catesby, Okla,. and came to the local area from Seattle. He was an Army veteran of World War II and had been employed as a carpenter for International Paper. He was also active in RSVP. His wife, Mary Terrel, died earlier this year. Surviving are two daughters, Alice Davis and Freda Schill, both of Longview; four sisters, Colleen Redelsperger and Shirley Peters, both of Tehachapi, Calif,. Margie Aguirre of Fillmore, Calif,. And Violet Roselius of Ramona, Calif,. Three brothers, Virgil Terrel of Amarillo, Texas, Lawrence Terrel of Follet, Texas, and Myles Terrel of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. , Wednesday at McVicker’s Parkview Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Terry Whitmore officiating. Services will conclude at the chapel and private interment will be at Longview Memorial Park. Friends who wish to pay respect may call until 8 this evening and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
