Roy Watson, 81, of 1313 S. 6th St., Kelso, died Sept. 23, 1977, at home.  He was
born Oct. 21, 1895, in Catlin Wash., and was of a pioneer family and was a
great-grandson of John Leonard who had a donation land claim in the Catlin area.
He was also a retired carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Byrdee, at home.  One son, Ken Watson of Puyallup;
and one nephew, Jerry Watson of Portland.

Services will be held Monday, at 2 p.m. at the Ditlevsen-Moore Chapel with the
Rev. Paul Roper officiating.  Services will conclude at the chapel and the
casket will remain closed.  Those wishing to pay respects may do so until 1 p.m.
Monday. Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
