Roney - Allison Verne, 68, Rt. 2, Box 119, Chehalis, died July 3, in a Chehalis
hospital.  He was born Feb. 22, 1898, in Urbana, Ill., and came to Chehalis from
Bremerton 21 years ago.  He was a long time employee of Sears Roebuck and Co.,
and was a veteran of World War II.  He was a member of the Rhododendron Society,
the Masonic Lodge of Urbana and Chehalis Elks No. 1374.  

Survivors include the widow, Wilma E., at home; one son, Verne W. of Olympia;
one step-daughter, Mrs. Annette Johnson of Lacy; one stepson, Donald L. Ames of
Kelso; one sister, Mrs. Beryl Yeazel of Urbana, Ill.; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday at 10 A.M. at the Boone Mortuary Chapel with the
Rev. William Mayoh officiating.  Concluding service and interment will follow in
Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kelso, at 12:15 p.m.  Boone Mortuary of Chehalis is in
charge.
