Avis M. Wheatley, 75, of 109 B Street in Castle Rock, died June 14, 1984, in a
local hospital.

She was born March 1, 1909, at Carrolls and was a lifetime area resident.  Mrs.
Wheatley was a member of the Castle Rock Christian Church, the Sunnyside Grange,
the Castle Rock Woman’s Club, the Garden Club and Castle Rock Senior Citizens
Club.  

Survivors include three sons, Aaron A. Wheatley of Castle Rock and Everette E.
Wheatley and Terrance F. Wheatley, both of Kelso; one brother, Homer Griswold of
Scappoose; two sisters, Evelyn Chaney of Centralia and Wilma Roney of Castle
Rock; a friend, S. Frank Hoffman of Castle Rock; and 14 grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Castle Rock Christian Church
with Pastor Martin Lee officiating.  Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant
Cemetery in Kelso.
