EARL CHANEY DIES TUESDAY AFTERNOON


Earl C. Chaney, 55, of Rathdrum died yesterday afternoon in Coeur d Alene after
a short illness.  He came to this community in 1912 from Echo, Ore., and was a
farmer.  Mr. Chaney was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

He is survived by his widow, Evelyn, and daughter, Marilyn, at home and one son,
Carl W., in Italy with the army.  The body will be sent to Hermiston, Ore.,
where services and interment will be held.  The English Funeral Home is in
charge.
