OBITUARY - WILLIAM ALFRED WASHINGTON PARSONS Submitted by: Paige Parsons, paige at parsons dot org Source: Unknown Newspaper, pasted inside family Bible William Alfred Washington Parsons son of William and Abbie Parsons was born April 26, 1889 and died October 2, 1909 of tuberculosis, aged 20 years, 5 months and 6 days. Alfred Parsons, a young man of good habits and kind disposition, had professed religion and was baptised. He was a member of Stella Grange No. 120, P. of H and was a zealous worker for the order. He lived on the farm with his parents about two miles from Stella. he had been ill for several months, but had hopes of recovery until a few days before his death. In the death of Alfred Parsons the family has lost a dutiful son and loving brother; the Grange has lost a faithful worker, and the community a bright, intelligent young man. The funeral service was conducted at the home by Rev. T.M. Reese of Kelso, and the service at the grave was the beautiful grange ritualistic ceremony, by Stella Grange. Interment was in the family plot, in cemetery, on the hill north of Stella. His grave was covered with flowers.
