He lived in the local area all ofhis life, attending Kelso Schools, and was raised in Rose Valley.Steven was married to Rhonda (Poole) April 1, 2000 in Reno, Nevada. He was alogger most of his life, and was also self employed. Memberships include theLongview/Kelso Men's Bowling Association and the Kelso Eagles, and his pastimesincluded fishing, hunting, bowling, woodworking and camping. Steven was easygoing, and loved taking his son, Brandon fishing. His son was his Buddy. Stevenenjoyed teaching or showing people his fishing tricks.Steven joins in Heaven his mother, Sharon (Vogel) Parsons, his grandparents, andJohn Morgan.Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Parsons of Kelso; parents, Stan and JoanParsons of Kelso; son "his little Buddy", Brandon Parsons of Silverdale,Washington; stepson, Joseph Keough of Kelso;brother, Scott Parsons of Longview; brother and wife, James and Debbie Parsonsof Philomath, Oregon; stepbrother and wife, David and Deanna Malone of Kelso;two nephews, Adam Parsons of Kelso and J.P. Parsons of Philomath; three nieces,Sadie Parsons of Kelso, Ashley Parsons of Longview; and Sabrina Parsons ofPhilomath; two uncles George Parsons of Kelso and Don Parsons of Ilwaco,Washington; aunt & uncle Carol & Chuck DeWolf of Winlock, Washington and aunt &uncle Arlene & Sandy Clement of Kelso; aunt Shirley Jackson of Longview, andnumerous cousins.A memorial service will be held March 11, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Living WordChristian Center, Longview, with Pastor Nat Rinker officiating.
