Woodland Soldier Dies in Arkansas

S-3c Buddie Orin of Woodland died Jan. 24 from complications resulting from an
appendectomy.

Orin was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nicholes of Woodland.  He was stationed
at Ft. Chaffee, Ark. , at the time of his death.  S-3c Orin had served 18 months
in the army.

When hearing of their sonŐs illness, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholes flew to Arkansas
arriving the day of his death.

Orin lived at Cougar for a short time before joining the army.  He was a 1956
graduate of Lyle (Wash) High School.
