FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR HERSHEL THOMPSON

Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 1 p.m. at the Vancouver
Funeral Chapel for Hershel Thompson, 63, who died Apr. 28 at Barnes Hospital.


He was born in LaCrosse, Wisc.  Twenty years ago he and his family moved here
from Minnesota.  The Thompsons have owned and operated the Thompson Trailer Park
for several years.  He was a World War I veteran, and was a holder of the Purple
Heart.

Survivors include his wife, Aileen; on son, Howard of Vancouver; one sister,
Hazel in Kingman, Ariz., one brother in Illinois, and two grandsons.

Burial at Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver will follow the military funeral.

The family requests that instead of sending flowers, friends contribute to the
heart fund.
