	Pauline E. Byrd, 51, of Ocean Park, Wash., died June 23, 1978, at home. She
was born Oct. 19, 1926 in Wichita, Kan., and was an Ocean Park resident since
1965.
	Survivors include her husband William at home; six sons, Jim Hollis and Fred
Hollis, both of Eureka, Ca.; Gary Hollis of Nahcotta; William Byrd of Longview;
Donald Byrd and Jerome Byrd both of Ocean Park; two daughters, Mrs. Diana
Freeman of Eureka, Ca.; and Mrs. Alice Baker of Seaview, Wash.; her mother Mrs.
Laura Collins of Longview; her father Paul Nolan of Kelso; her father-in-law Dan
Byrd of Ilwaco; four brothers, Jim Nolan of Springfield, Or.; Rusty Nolan of
Longview, Ivan Nolan of Kelso, and Don Nolan of Long Beach; three sisters, Irene
Chamberlain of Lexington; Louise Hollis of Eureka, Ca.; and Darlene Peterson of
Vancouver, Wash.; 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
	Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Penttila's Chapel by the Sea, Long Beach,
with the Rev. John Mann officiating. Interment will follow at the Ilwaco
cemetery. Penttila's Chapel by the Sea is in charge of arrangements.
