JIM HOUGHTON, age 77, born March 31, 1922 in Kelso, Washington, died November 8,
1999 in Santa Ana CA. He was a resident of Garden Grove for 54 years. Jim was an
Assistant Manager of Claims for the Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile
Club for 35 years. He was a member of the Garden Grove Elks Lodge B.P.O.E.#1952,
Garden Grove Lions Club and the Acacia Grove Lodge #351 Free and Accepted Masons
of CA. Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years: Barbara Oughton, two daughters:
Lori Suzuki of Laguna Niguel and Jamie Mecham of San Diego, sister Beverly Cook
of Eddyville,OR, three grandsons: Jeffrey and Christopher Mecham, and Matthew
Lacy, three great grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. Services: Thursday,
Nov. 11, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church 12741 Main St., Garden
Grove. In lieu of flowers, donations requested to the charity of your choice.
