Otto, 20, who died in Vancouver Memorial hospital Sunday afternoon from injuries received in a logging accident about three miles up the Dubois Rd., Friday, about 10:30 a.m. Otto was working as a choker setter for Harry Balch. A snag being pushed over by a cat fell on an eight-inch tree lying on the ground, which is believed to have flew up and hit Otto in the head. He was taken by pickup to Ariel, and to Vancouver by ambulance. Otto was born Nov. 28, 1937 in Hillsboro, Ore., and graduated from Woodland High School in 1957. He is survived by his wife, Donna of Woodland; a son, Keith; a brother Sam of San Diego; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Harrison of Boise, Ida., and a stepfather, Harvey Fisher of Woodland. The service was conducted at the Woodland Christian church at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Starr officiating. Burial followed in Frank Abel Cemetery. Woodland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
