OBITUARY - THEODORE OLIVER Submitted by: Vikki, VGDriver1 at aol dot com Source: "Lewis River News," Woodland, Cowlitz Co., WA, Thursday, 25 Sep 1958 Theodore Oliver Funeral Conducted Funeral services for former Woodland resident Theodore Oliver who died Friday in Tacoma were held Tuesday afternoon at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Oliver worked as a building contractor and operated a store and garage in Woodland. He moved here in 1900, and during his residence served on the town council and school board. He and his wife, Zella, who recently celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary, moved to Washougal in 1933. Survivors besides Mrs. Oliver are three daughters, Mrs. Merle Blum of Woodland, Mrs. Loretta Blum of Astoria, and Mrs. Teresa Blum of Oak Harbor; two sons, Ted Jr. of Camas and Elmer of Seattle; three brothers, H.L. of Wichita, Kans., V.J. of St. Helens and Earl of Long Beach; and a sister, Mrs. Altha Nye of Prineville, Ore. Woodland pastor the Rev. Clifford Bethune conducted the services attended by Mrs. A.C. Clawson, D.S. Bridgefarmer, and Mrs. Al Insel from Woodland.
