Steph Funeral is Pending

Funeral services are pending for Onni Steph, 72, who died this morning in a
Kelso nursing home.


Born Jan. 22, 1886 in Pielavesi, Finland, Steph came to Woodland 51 years ago,
and until his retirement was engaged in farming and logging.  He was a member of
the Kelso Eagles Lodge and the Lutheran church.


Survivors include the widow, Hilda, Woodland; two daughters, Mrs. Bruno
Chilinski, Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Irene McMillon, Soap Lake; two
grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Alma Jaaskelainen, Finland.


The arrangements are being handled by Woodland Funeral Home.
