OBITUARY - ERNEST ROBERSON Submitted by: Vikki, VGDriver1 at aol dot com Source: "Lewis River News," Woodland, Cowlitz Co., WA, Thursday, 15 Jan 1959 Roberson Funeral Set for Saturday Ernest Roberson, 69, died Wednesday in an Aberdeen rest home where he has resided for the past three years. Funeral services will be held in Woodland this Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Lee Andres officiating. Vault burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery in Vancouver. Roberson lived in Woodland 1920-1955, operating a dairy farm until 1935. He also ran a secondhand store in Woodland. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Woodland Grange. He was born Aug. 10, 1889 in Tacoma. Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Hatfield, Aberdeen; two sons, Melvin in Seattle and John in Pullman; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Hepp and Mrs. Clara Mildon, both Tacoma, and Mrs. Maude Eggers, Inglewood, Calif.; a brother, Edward in Longview; and 10 grandchildren. Woodland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
