OBITUARY - DAVID WIRTA Submitted by: Vikki, VGDriver1 at aol dot com Source: "Lewis River News," Woodland, Cowlitz Co., WA, Thursday, 22 Jan 1959 Wirta Service Is This Saturday Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church for David Wirta, who died at his 747 Dale St., Woodland home Wednesday. Wirta was born Nov. 12, 1884 in Finland, and came to the United States in 1905. He retired from farming and had lived in Woodland the past 23 years. He was a member of the Finnish Lutheran Church of Portland. He is survived by his wife, Hilma of Woodland; two sons, William of Aberdeen, and Paul of New York; a daughter, Tyyne Ollie of Portland; and by five stepsons, two stepdaughters, 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church with the Reverends F.W. Kaskinen and Lee Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Frank Abel Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Woodland Funeral Home.
