Ralph Strode Dies, Funeral Held Tuesday

Seventy-nine year old Ralph Strode of Woodland died in Longview Saturday.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday in the Christian Church by the Rev.
Clifford Bethune.  Burial followed at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.


Strode was a retired blacksmith and had lived in Woodland the pat four years.
He was a member of the Woodland Christian Church.  He was born Jan. 23, 1879 in
Texas.


He is survived by four sons, Louie of The Dalles, Ore., Curtis of Turner, Ore.,
Charlie of Portland, and Erwin of Woodland; a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Trent of
Bend, Ore., and by 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.


Woodland Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
