Vanover, 60, of Woodland, who died Saturday in a Vancouver Hospital. He had been a resident of Woodland 33 years, and was born Sept. 16, 1898 in Oregon City. He has been employed as a truck driver and bookkeeper by Woodland Truck Lines. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion, and Eagles Lodge No. 2764. He is survived by the widow, Elizabeth; two sons, William, Redding, Calif., and Al, Portland; two step-sons, Adran Sperling, Vancouver, and Jim Sperling, Longview; 12 grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Mae Butts; a brother, Buss, Woodland; four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Matthews, St. Helens, Mrs. Lena Beaver, Sedro Woolley, Mrs. Viola Hill, Seattle, and Alice, Fairbanks, Alaska. The funeral service was conducted in Woodland Christian Church Wednesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Clifford Bethune officiating. Burial was in Woodland IOOF Cemetery.
