Evert Wuokila Dies Tuesday

Services will be conducted Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Presbyterian Church for
Evert Wuokila of Woodland who died in a Longview hospital Tuesday.  He was 77.
 

Mr. Wuokila was born Feb. 10, 1880 in Finland, emigrating to the United States
in 1901.  He had lived in Woodland the past 22 years.  He was a retired farmer.
 

Surviving relatives are: a son, Elmer W., Salmon, Ida.; four daughters, Vienne
Laakonen, Grangeville, Ida., Vivian Jensen, Boise, Ida., Maxine Evans,
Sweethome, Ore., and Millie Karjala, Grayland, Wn.; 13 grandchildren and four
great grandchildren and a brother, Erick in Canada.
 

The service will be conducted by the Rev. Walter L. Peterson, and burial will
follow at Frank Abel Cemetery.
 

Pallbearers will be Alfred Walen, Leo Wittika, Leonard Saari, Robert Wallila,
Einar Suomi, and Gene Keisala.
