Gant service today

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday) for Jake Gant,
former Woodland resident who died Nov. 29 in Emporia, Kans.


The body is being shipped to Woodland, accompanied by the deceased’s  second
wife, Mrs. Mable Gant.  He will be buried alongside his first wife who was
buried in 1910 in Hayes Cemetery.
 

The Rev. Clifford Bethune will conduct the service at Woodland Funeral Home.
Gant came to Washington in 1888, and lived in the Woodland area 20 years.  He is
also survived by two daughters, three sons and a brother.
