Bud Neil’s Dad Dies Wednesday

George Neil, 72, died Wednesday morning in a Vancouver hospital.  He is the
father of Bud Neil of Woodland, and he and his wife lived in Ariel and Woodland
for 15 years before moving to Westlake, Or. In 1948.


Funeral services will be held Monday, June 3 in the Christan Church with the
Rev. Clifford Bethune officiating.  Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial in
Portland.
 

Mr. Neil was born September 22, 1885 in Montana.


He is survived by his wife, Alice; son, F.M. Neil, Woodland; brother, Frank of
Portland.
 

The elder Neil’s have been staying with their son during George’s stay in the
hospital.


Mr. and Mrs. Bud Neil were enroute to Woodland from Detroit with a new Ford car,
when they received word the elder Neil was failing.  They left the car in
Denver, returning by plane Monday afternoon.  They left Woodland last Thursday
by train.
