Johnson Henry Hiram Johnson was born in Dewitt County, Illinois on March 20, 1855, and died at Castle Rock, June 15, 1922. In 1875, he was married to Eliza Supinger. To this union were born 12 children, five of whom died in infancy, and two others in maturity. The five who survive are Mrs. Emma Bales, of Cottage Grove, Oregon; Mrs. Nellie Camp, of Centralia, and Maggie Woodard and Fred and Roy Johnson of Castle Rock. Mrs. Johnson also survives her husband. He also leaves a brother, Dan, of Portland, and also John and Charles of this place. The funeral service was held in the Christian Church Sunday at 1 o'clock, and in the absence of the pastor of the church was conducted by Frank R. Gillett, pastor of the Methodist church. Church music was furnished by Mrs. Gillett and Clifton Crook. Interment was made in the Whittle Cemetery.
