While her death had been expected it was sorrowful. She was an orphan and had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. William Watkins. She was 13 years, 8 months old. Some two years ago she was lost on the West Side for two nights and two days. The whole countryside was aroused and scores of men searched the woods until she was found. She was born in Castle Rock November 19, 1915. Her father died in 1919. Four years later her mother died. She has been attending grade school here and was a member of the Christian Church Sunday school. Three sisters and a half-brother survive. The sisters are Naomi, Serena and Mrs. B. M. Passara of Cle Elum. Albert Churchill is the brother. Funeral services were held in the Christian church by Rev. Crabb Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The burial was at Whittle cemetery.
