OBITUARY - ROY WILLIAM HINKLE Submitted by: Ken Palmer, lordofdarkness1970 at yahoo.com Source: "The Cowlitz County Advocate," June 19, 1963 Services held for Roy Hinkle Roy William Hinkle, 62, who spent most of his life here, died Saturday in Cowlitz General Hospital, where he had been a patient since June 4. He was born September 15, 1901 in Missouri, and had lived on West Side Highway for 59 years. Before his illness he had been employed by Long Bell Company. The survivers are his mother, Nellie Hinkle, Vancouver; two sons, Harry, US Navy, Port Hueneme, Caliornia, and Robert, Castle Rock; five daughters, Mrs. Anna Cazone, Gresham, Oregon; Nellie, Castle Rock; Mary, Kalama and Connie and Linda, Longview, and two brothers, Earl, Seattle and Leslie A., Vancouver. The funeral services were held this Wednesday afternoon in the Hubbard Chapel, the Rev. Martin Lee officiated, and the Rev. Ernest Moore was soloist. The pallbearers were John Ylonen, Ray Hill, Mike Boyd, Robert Hill, Dick Vaness, and Ferdinand Peetz. Burial was in Whittle Cemetery. The Hubbard Funeral Home was in charge.
