Delia K. Piland

Delia Keene Piland, of 245 Douglas St., Longview, died April 25, 1986 in a local
hospital.  She was born May 5, 1908 at Philomath, Oregon.  Before moving to
Longview in 1978, Mrs. Piland had made her home on Deer Island for 29 years.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and gardening.  Her husband, Elmer
Piland survives her at home.  Also surviving are a daughter, Stella van Diver of
Longview, a son, Earl Robert Keene of Rainer; a sister, Stella Gibson of
Silverlake, Wash.; two brothers, Calvin Guier and Robert Guier, both of
Ostrander; 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-
grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Services are 2 pm Wednesday at
Dahls Ditlevsen Moore Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Whittle Hubbard
Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home until 8 this
evening and from 9 am to 8 pm Wednesday.  Memorial contributions may be made to
the Washington Arthritis Association, 726 Broadway, Seattle, Wash., 98100.
