OBITUARY - NETTIE (BARBER) SEARL

Castle Rock, Aug 13, 1941 - Mrs Nettie B. Searl, 93, died here today after an
illness of 11 months. She had resided here since 1920. Mrs Searl was born near
Fort Wayne, Ind., in 1848, the daughter of Dr and Mrs A.T. Barber. She was
married in Princeton, ILL. in 1869 to Newton Searl, a Civil War veteran. He
succumbed in Prescott, Kan., in 1890. Survivors include a daughter, Cora Searl,
Castle Rock; two sons, Roy of Castle Rock and Lee of Longview; and one grandson,
Floyd, Castle Rock.  The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist
Church with Rev. W.M. Richards officiating. Interment will be in the Hubbard
addition to the Whittle cemetery beside the body of her son, Chester. The
Hubbard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
