Born Feb 24, 1897, on Walker's Island. Survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mustola of Clatskanie; a son Raymond of Portland; three brothers, Charles and Lee of Mayger, Ore., and Walter of Clatskanie; and four sisters, Mrs. Martin Brucher of Clatskanie, Mrs. John Tooley of Estacada, Ore., and Mrs. John Head of Portland. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Anderson Chapel, Clatskanie, with vault commitment in Murray Hill cemetery. Anderson Funeral Home is in charge. ------- Source #2: "The Clatskanie Chief," Clatskanie, Columbia Co, Oregon; March 3, 1950, page 1 Alex Mustola Dies in Longview Alex Mustola, life-long resident of the community, passed away at Cowlitz General hospital in Longview Thursday noon of last week. He was admitted to the hospital on February 14. A cerebral hemorrhage was given as the cause of death. Arnold Alexander Mustola was born February 28, 1898 on Walker's Island, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Mustola. The greater part of his life was spent as a fisherman on the Columbia river altho in 1936 he purchased he Motor Rest Inn at Delena and operated it for about ten year when he sold it and purchased a farm in West Rainier which he owned until about two years ago when he moved to Kelso. One son, Raymond Mustola of Portland and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Mustola of Clatskanie survive as do four sisters and three brothers. They are Mrs. Lillian Monroe, Mayger, Mrs. John Tooley, Estacada; Mrs. James Head, Portland; and Mrs. Martin Brucker, Clatskanie; Lee and Charles Mustola, Mayger; and Walter Mustola, Clatskanie. Two brothers, Edward and August, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Anderson Funeral Home chapel with Rev. C. J. Sacarisen of Portland and Rev. Dick Morgan of Clatskanie in charge. Interment was in Murray Hill cemetery, Clatskanie.
