OBITUARY - DONALD R. SMITH

Funeral for Donald R. Smith, a Portland resident for most of his life, will be
at 2 p.m. Monday in Caldwell's Colonial Mortuary, with interment in Willamette
National Cemetery.

Mr. Smith died Tuesday in a Portland hospital at age 70.

A native of Eufaula Heights, Cowlitz County, Wash., he was an Army veteran who
served in World War II. He was a Salvation Army soldier for eight years and
worked for a time loading trucks for the Goodwill and Salvation Army.

Survivors include a brother in Washington and a sister in California.
