Born Oct 27, 1911, in Grand Ronde, Ore., he had lived in Kelso four years, coming there from Kalama. Mr Kochis was employed 13 years at the Weyerhaeuser Co. Pulp and Paperboard Division and was a member of the Pulp and Sulphite Union. Surviving are the widow, Eltie, at home; four sons, James Whitcraft of Kalama, Russell Whitcraft of Kelso, and Lawrence and Donald Whitcraft of Missoula, Mont.; a daughter, Miss Marie Whitcraft of Kelso; a sister, Mrs Mary Nelson of Kelso; two brothers, George of Willamina, Ore., and Frank of Hoskins, Ore.; his father, Joe Kochis of St Helens; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be friday at 2 p.m. at the Kalama Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Kalama IOOF Cemetery. Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Home is in charge.
