OBITUARY - BUSTER JOHN MAHAFFEY

Buster John Mahaffey, 85, of 250 Olsen Road, Kelso, died Sept 6, 1997, at the
Hospice Care Center.

He was born Aug 13, 1912, in Kelso, to William R. and Effie May (Heckert)
Mahaffey, and lived in Kelso since 1971, coming from Leggett, Calif.

Mr Mahaffey was a member of the International Operating Engineers Local 3,
working in construction. He had also been a logger.

He leaves his wife of 53 years, Violet, at home; a sister, Laura Erickson of
Woodland; a brother,  Frank Mahaffey of Kalama; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service and interment will take place at 11 a.m. wednesday at the
Kalama I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Viewing hours are until 5 p.m. today at Dahl's
Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Home.
