"Cowlitz County Pioneer Passes Away at Kelso"

   Mrs. Alice Maxson, an old pioneer of Cowlitz County and the mother of N. S.
Maxson, a well known farmer living near Kelso, died at the home of her son last
Friday, the funeral services being held in Kelso yesterday.  Mrs. Maxson was 86
years of age and has been a resident of this state for over 40 years.
