"G.A.R. Veteran Dies"

   David Malone, veteran of the Civil war and a resident of Kelso since 1890,
died at the home of his daughter in Altoona, Kans., Thuraday, according to a
telegram to his son, Frank Malone of this city.  Mr. Malone left for Altoona
last Sunday and at that time was apparently in the best of health.  He was 79
years of age.
