"Pioneer Stricken" William Parsons, pioneer of Cowlitz county, who had resided in the Stella and Carrells districts for more than 40 years, passed away Saturday of heart trouble on his 70th birthday anniversary. He had been in good health, and visited Kelso on Friday. He retired about two years ago, disposing of his store at Carrolls, and resided there. Surviving him are four children: John and Sam Parsons, Carrolls; Ben Parson, Stella and Mrs. Tom Gosa, Keasey, Ore. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church this afternoon.
