Knight Had Resided in Clark County for Years Woodland, Aug. 1 -- Adam S. Knight, 78 father of N. R. Knight, superintendent of Woodland schools, is dead at his home at Vancouver, Wash. Mr. Knight was one of the early pioneers of Clark county, his father having settled on a land claim, a few miles west of Camas, at an early date. Mr. Knight had been in poor health following a fall from a cherry tree last summer. He is survived by his wife, Anna E. Knight, 10 children, several grandchildren and one brother, Chat Knight, of Vancouver. The children are Aubrey K. Knight, Olympia; Lloyd Knight, Rainier, Ore.; John Knight, Reith, Ore.; Chester Knight, Orchards, Wash.; N. R. Knight, Woodland; Chelsea Knight, Vancouver, Wash.; Mrs. J. M. Waddell, Spokane; Mrs. J. A. Reynolds, Walla Walla, and Miss Dula Knight of Vancouver.
