JERRY LEON ROWTON December 10, 1955 ~ September 23, 2010 In Loving Memory of Our Devoted Father, Son, Brother, Papa and Friend Jerry Leon Rowton was born Dec. 10, 1955 in Longview, WA. He was one of five sons, born and raised in Kelso, WA, to Raymond and Velma (Gibbons) Rowton. He passed away at home in Vancouver, WA, Sept. 23, 2010 at age 54. Jerry was a devoted father who adored his family and grandchildren. He loved God, life, hunting, fishing, weight training, classic cars, riding his Harley, and working as a union carpenter for Local #1715. Jerry had a fun loving nature that was contagious to all those around him. He loved to laugh and make memories. Jerry touched and impacted the lives of all those around him. He was cherished and loved by countless friends and families and his influence on our lives will never be forgotten. Jerry is survived by his children: Melissa Hurst, Jerry Rowton II, La Donna Smithline and Michelle Huft; six grandchildren, Briella, Kylie, Avalin, Adalie and Lilah Smithline and Cody Tremayne; his mother, Velma Rowton; and brothers, Larry, Todd and Don. He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Mike. Services will be held Sat., Oct. 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church. Interment will be held at Rose Valley Cemetery following funeral services. Friends are invited to gather with family, for a potluck, following the graveside service at Rose Valley Friends Church in Kelso, WA. Cards and flowers may be sent to Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
