OBITUARY: CHARLES RONALD KARR Submitted by: Leona Johnson Source: "The Daily News", Longview, Cowlitz Co., Washington Charles Ronald Karr, 74, of 312 Pine St., Kelso, died March 31, 1993 at home. Mr. Karr was born Oct. 26, 1918 in Ida, Okla., to Marion and Nancy (Tidmore) Karr. He lived in the local area since 1921, coming from Oklahoma. He was a Kelso police officer for three years, and a Cowitz County Sheriff's Deputy for more than twenty years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include a special friend, Joyce P. Myers of Kelso; two daughters, Sandy Brown and Susan Schwelhardt, both of Longview; a son Ron Karr of Wenatchee; a sister, Bertha Smythe of Medford, Ore.; three brothers, David Karr of Sunnydale, Calif., James Karr of Kelso, and William Karr of Oak Harbor, WA; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At Mr. Karr's request no service will be held. Arrangements are by Dahl's Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Home.
