Nesbit, 53, lifetime resident of Castle Rock, died Sunday morning in the fire which swept the Corrie house, where he made his home. He was born March 27, 1897, at Carrollton, now Carrolls. The survivors are one son, Richard DeLor Nesbit, and a stepson, Delmar Pomeroy, of Castle Rock; one daughter, Nancy Nesbit of Seattle; and two sisters, Mrs. Lulu Bemis and Mrs. Wilma Voorhees of Aloha, Oregon. Nesbit was a verteran of the first World War, and was employed at the Port of Longview. He was a member of the Castle Rock Masonic lodge. The funeral services were held at ten o'clock Wednesday forenoon in the Hubbard chapel, with interment in the Hubbard cemetery. Rev. Martin K. Skarbo officiated, and Rev. Ernest Moore was soloist. The pallbearers were Loyal Carlson, Roy Johnson, Byron Smith, Bill Prather, Prace McDermontt and Del Raphaelson. The Hubbard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
