OBITUARY - DEWEY DYKSTRA Submitted by: Kari Teeter Kandoll, Source: The Daily News (Longview, WA), Tuesday, June 12, 2001, page B2 Obituaries Dewey Dykstra Lifelong local resident Dewey Dykstra, 67, of Cathlamet, died June 10, 2001, at a local nursing home. He was born Nov. 23, 1933, in Kelso, to Dolph and Emma (Palmer) Dykstra. Mr. Dykstra worked at the Longview Fibre box plant for 10 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, Western movies, steelhead fishing and horses. He is survived by two sons, Ronald Dykstra of Cathlamet and Mark Dykstra of Longview; two daughters, Debbie Wilson of Toutle and Susie St. Louis of Longview; a sister, Dolly Hoover of Grays River; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother, Elgin Fiest. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Dowling Funeral Home, Cathlamet.
