Born Dec. 12, 1923, in Williston, ND. Mr. Halvorsen came to Washington in 1954. He moved to kelso a year later, and remained four years before moving to Vancouver. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia: two sons, Russell and Brian, both at home: two daughter, Maureen and Scharmon, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Clara Halvorsen, of Williston, ND; five brothers, Lawrence of Azuza, Calif., Arnie and Wilford, both of Billings, Mont., Ernie of Scobey, Mont., and Leon of Williston, ND; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Njos of Williston, ND, and Mrs. Verna All of Seattle. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm at the Ditlevsen-Moore Chapel with the Rev. D.L. Gowan officiatin. Interment will follow at the Park Hill Cemetery at Vancouver. The Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
