David and Elizabeth Galloway

"This is a picture of David Greene and Elizabeth Johnson Galloway. They arrived in Kelso in 1854 after traveling the Oregon trail with their son Thomas Findley Galloway and his wife Sarah Howard Walker Galloway and their family. David and Elizabeth had two sons and their families in Kelso. They were James Armstrong Galloway and William Harrison Galloway. William eventually moved to Elgin, Oregon. Several of each sons children married Catlins and Barlows, well known names in the Kelso area. David died 4/12/1864 in Kelso. Elizabeth moved to Portland about 1870 to live with her daughter and son-Inlaw Wesley and Charlotte Jean, who were listed in the 1870 census as being in Kelso. Elizabeth died in Portland on 2/27/1884. Both are buried in the Catlin cemetery. They are not listed in the Catlin Cemetery records as being buried there and there graves are unmarked. They are suppose to be buried just below the Grave of Thomas Findley Galloway."
