The following photos were contributed by Penni (Campbell) Huff. Her grandparents, Logan William and Leona Elizabeth (Beaston) HOPPER, moved to Kelso in 1934, along with Logan's mother, Edith May and her husband, Ezra Jay Hewitt.
Ezra Jay and Edith May (Hopper) Hewitt: Ezra was born in Iowa on March 5, 1892 but lived the last 35 years of his life in Kelso, WA and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Longview. He died on April 18, 1968 and is burried at Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens. Edith moved here with her husband Ezra in 1934. She was a member of the Kelso Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary.
Logan William and Leona Elizabeth (Beaston) Hopper, with daughters Mae and Claire: Logan William Hopper was the oldest child of Edith May (Hopper) Hewitt. Logan was born on July 19, 1906 in Kansas. He moved to Kelso, WA in 1934 with his wife Leona Elizabeth (Beaston) Hopper who was born October 16, 1926. In addition to the older daughters Mae and Claire, Logan and Leona had two more daughters: Mary and Edith. Leona died October 26, 2005 and Logan died February 7, 1990. They are both burried in Longview Memorial Park & Mausoleum.

The Croy family: Mae Hopper married their son Paul Croy. They have lived in the Kelso area even longer then the Hoppers.
