The above photo was submitted by Don and Doreen (Kisch) Gillogly. They write:
"Here is the Longview-Rainer bridge shortly before it was completed. There hasn`t been much development down Industrial way to the port dock. The ferry landing was just up stream from the bridge and was probally still in use when this picture was taken. Long Bell Lumber Company can be seen in the far center right."
"When I was a lad we would crawl through a hole in the fence that was along side the ramps going up the bridge on the Washington side to avoid that high toll. 20 cents was a lot of money to us kids in those days. You could go to a afternoon movie for a nickle and some times that would be a double feature such as King Kong and Rin Tin Tin."
