August Aust, aged 25, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Aust, well known pioneers of this section, died Monday, April 15, at a Portland sanitarium, following a long illness. Deceased was a greduate of the Pe Ell high school. He was popular among his associates and was highly esteemed by all for his many sterling qualities. Surviving besides the parents, are three brothers and one sister, Emil and Perry, students at the University of Washington; and Alfred and Evelyn of Pe Ell. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Fred T. Lucas of Chehalis were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the high school gymnasium. There was a profusion of beautiful floral tributes and a vast throng of sympathizing relatives and friends. The student body of the high school and members of the faculty attended in a body. Burial was in the family plot in the Pe Ell cemetery.
