Pioneer Woman Passed
Mrs. Anna C. Metzker of Mossyrock passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Milton Elliott, on February 5.
Mrs. Elliott was born in Tennessee in 1836 and was 86 years, one month and eight days of age at the time of her death. She has been a resident of Mossyrock for the past 24 years, and lived a peaceful and useful life in this community. She was blind the last few years and was confined to her room, but her cheerfulness caused her to be loved by all who knew her. She will be missed by many friends and six surviving children, all grown. They are: Mrs. Milton Elliott and James Metzker of Mossyrock, Arthur Metzker of Vancouver, Wash., Mrs. Mabel Hammer of Seattle, Nathan Metzker of Michigan and John Metzker of Iowa.
Funeral services were conducted by E. C. Fissel and Reverend Whisler as pastor February 6 at 2 o'clock. Interment was in Mossyrock cemetery.
