"Alexander Grafton Dies"
The death of Alexander Grafton, a resident of this city since 1900, occurred Saturday night. Death was due to the infirmities attending his advance years. The remains were removed to the Newell parlors. Mr. Grafton was born in Ohio on January 2, 1833. He enlisted in 1861 in Co. D, 126th Ohio Infantry and served until May, 1865. He was wounded in the battles of The Wilderness and Shenandoah. He was married in 1867 to Catherine Morrow. His wife died 26 years ago. One son survives, William Grafton, assistant postmaster here. A grandson, William Grafton, Jr., is with the American Expeditionary Forces. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Adventist church.
