The 11-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Kulien, who reside in the northeast part of the city, died on Sunday morning. Rev. Pearson preached the funeral sermon on Monday afternoon. Anna was born in Clayton, Co., Iowa, and removed to this city two years ago, her father buying the "Jones" property. The child was sick only a few days. At the grave, the scholars of Miss Gillispie's school formed a circle about the grave and sang "What a friend we have in Jesus," and then marching around, deposited flowers upon the grave.
