Boyd - Alfred L. 75, Chehalis, passed away March 10th in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 12, 1884 at Ashgrove, Mo., and had been a resident of Chehalis since 1937. Mr. Boyd, following his connection with Nuce's Department store, was with Proffitts Store since 1957, until his retirement a week preceding his death. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian church. Surviving the deceased, in addition to his wife, Margaret J., are two daughters, Mrs. Louise Boyd Topper, Brooklyn, N. Y.; Mrs. Joann Boyd Vaught, West Babylon, N. Y.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Private funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Sticklin Funeral Home, Chehalis with Rev. George Shuman officiating. Cremation followed in Tacoma.
