Chehalis Pioneers Married 50 Years
CHEHALIS, Dec. 21. - Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Angst, who have resided in Chehalis for the past 45 years, observed their golden wedding anniversary quietly with a few friends and relatives at their home in Riverside last Friday. Mr. Angst is 90 years of age and his wife is 69, but both are hale and hearty despite their advancing years.
The pioneer Chehalis couple were married in Ontario, Canada, Dec. 16, 1882. They lived in Tacoma a short time before coming here in 1887. Mr. and Mrs. Angst have four children living, Mrs. Jessie Black of Chehalis, Mrs. Laura Angst of Mt. Vernon, Sol Angst of Seattle and George H. Angst of Chehalis, and there are six grandchildren. Mr. Angst also has three children by a former marriage.
