The third death this week of Centralia's aged residents was Mrs. Anna S. Begg, who died at her home Wednesday afternoon of old age. Mrs. Begg had been in feeble health for some time. Her husband is at the present time in very feeble health.
The funeral was held Thursday from her late home in this city, Rev. H. W. Thompson conducting the service. The interment was made in the Grand Mound cemetery.
Mrs. Begg was born in Scotland, March 9, 1834 She came to this country from Canada, where she was married in 1851. In 1887 she came to Washington and about two years ago made her home in Centralia. She was the mother of eight children, three daughters and five sons. They are: Mrs. D. S. Hurd, Mrs. J. L. Searles and Mrs. T. S. Phillips of Centralia, and Peter S. Begg of Centralia; John Begg, Sumner, Wash., Jas. A. Begg Seattle, Geo. F. Begg of Seattle, and H. F. Begg California.
